New Exclusive Skin Range from Dr Obagi

We are delighted to announce that we are one of only a few clinics appointed to supply our clients with the new ZO Skin Health range from Zein Obagi

We have been using the products ourselves, and the results are fantastic,  Dr Obagi uses high levels of active ingredients like retinol, vitamin C and latic acid to awaken cells so that they can produce collagen and elastin, the higher the concentration the better the result.

After 20 years in aesthetics I am still surprised by how people treat and view their skin.  I love my injectable treatments as much as the next person, but I continually explain to my clients that you must first get the canvass right, this will not only enhance injectable treatments but also give improved longevity of treatments.

To really make a difference we have to treat skin at cellular level, which means products with power.  The more skin reaction the deeper the skin repair! My thinking is take the 'bull by the horns' no pain no gain, get through this stage and you will have healthier, stronger skin.
However, we have to be reaslistic and people have busy lives and events to attend, therefore, if needed this reaction can be managed, results will be slower but still effective.

What we are loving this week....

1. Lusting after the bright pink coat from Zara this week such a uplifting colour & would match my lovely pink handbag perfectly!!! OK so I'm feeling very girly this week.

2. All the lovely ladies at Ascot looking gorgeous, despite the rainy weather, you did us proud ladies!

3.Dr Obagi is a trail blazer, loving the new Brightex Cream we received at the FACE conference, put it on an age spot on my PA Jacquie's hand and it has faded already after only 2 applications.

4. Cal Gel nails, my nails have grown so much in 2 weeks and are the strongest they have ever been - just love it.  No chips, despite some industrial type housework over the weekend (Just has to be done sometimes!!)

5. Well what more can I say ladies...... 50 Shades of Grey, it kept me happy while the football was on every single channel I tuned  in to!!!!

 

What we are loving this week ......

1. Spray Tans - so fed up with this rain and still looking pasty - still love St Tropez, for me just gives a great colour 
2. Dressmakers - mine has saved the day!  A good dress maker is worth their weight in gold, they will make sure your clothes fit you perfectly, especially if you are not a standard size like me 
3. Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System - amazing, leaves your skin glowing and polished - worth every penny - For Body and Face.
4. Clarisonic Opal Infusion System for Eyes - another fabulous piece of kit from Clarisonic, really gives deeper penetration of eye cream and improves quality of skin under and around eyes. Have seen a big difference! 
5. Nars Orgasm blusher - it just adds a lovely glow to your skin!! 
6. For those of you who don't want Botox - try DFC Lift.  This product is a great topical skin tightener, it will lift and tighten your skin - instant results & a great fix when you want to look your best!

Botox - Give us a break!!

During a recent evening out the conversation got around to Botox and I was shocked to hear some of the comments that were flying around  "Never, would I consider Botox and the people who do must be mad" I can't believe she does the B word, is she so insecure with her looks, relationship, Life"  "Why doesn't she just grow old gracefully ..........

Now, I don't normally get involved in the whole Botox debate,  but this really got me thinking - Why does Botox evoke such judgemental opinions from women who are usually kind, compassionate & supportive of other women.

I am not saying Botox  is a treatment for everyone, if someone is happy with their lines and wrinkles and feels good about themselves, more power to them!   I would never say that everyone should try it and am not in the business of 'selling' treatments as individuals need to be psychologically ready for any cosmetic treatment, non surgical or surgical.

Over the years, I have treated many women (& Men but that's a whole new subject) who's self esteem was at rock bottom and when I see them for their next treatment they are radiant, more self confident and appear to be in a much happier place and no, they aren't taking anti-depressants. I am told, that they just  feel better about themselves & that this is something they do that is  "just for me" 
The reality is, for a lot of us, if we feel that we look better, we really do feel better!

So my question is .. How can this be wrong?  For those of us who love our Botox please give us a break, it really is an individual choice & in the words of Barack Obama "If moms happy, everybody's happy!!!
