3 things that made me smile today

1.  OK I admit it - I had the journey from hell, was soaking wet, had nearly been blown away by a gale force 10 & I was feeling very Bhaaa Humbug.  I decided only CAKE would do! Before starting my  busy clinic in Knowle I rushed to the Garden Centre next door for a comforting slice of their amazing home-made Apple Cake, and there it was .... the most beautiful sight.  There were Polar Bears singing, Penguins dancing, hundreds of twinkling lights and cheeky Elves waving, Santa had dropped by to greet everyone with a  Ho Ho Ho. I came to a halt and took a moment to take in all the wonderment, I looked at the children’s faces, all wide eyed and giggling with excitement and anticipation.  Suddenly, I was filled with warmth and happiness and then I remembered  “ooooh how I do love Christmas" (Oh & my cake was just the best!!)

3 things that have made me smile today ......

1. Overheard two women talking, one lady said to her friend ..... " how sad you have been widowed 3 times

you must miss your husbands so much

The widow replied, Well darling, my 1st husband was a Psychiatrist and all he wanted to do was talk to it, my 2nd was a Gynaecologist and all he wanted to do was look at it, now my 3rd,  he was a Philatelist and Oh, how I do miss him!!!!!

2.A telephone call from my client to thank me, someone who, all her life has battled with her skin and has been following my skin care programme,  today she was so happy that a young girl of about 18 years of age (someone she didn't know) said to her ' you have got the most beautiful skin' ...... that's why I love my job!!!

3.A lorry driver who pulled up along side me at the lights and gestured for me to give him a smile, I did and he blew me a kiss, Am I offended - No, he made me smile -  Thank you Mr Lorry Driver for brightening my  dreary foggy Monday monrning and making me smile and for also reminding me .... it really is the little things in life that count!

Oh no its that time again .....
